Day 2 of Autodesk University 2015.
Today has been particularly difficult to write about because all of my sessions have been top secret!
My first class of the day at 08h00 - The Future of Model-based Definition in Inventor, or MDB. This was a "futures" session, so I can't say too much but the broad idea of MDB is to add enough intelligence to a 3D model so as to eliminate the need for 2D drawings! This was a really cool session.
This class was followed by another top secret session with Non-disclosure agreements on the Future of Autodesk Inventor. Again thoroughly enjoyable. The focus was on new features in the works, some really interesting developments that are on the road map and some of the new features that have just been released in Inventor 2016 R2 and R3. What is really nice to see, as a user of Inventor, is that the development team really do take user feedback seriously.

After the Inventor session, I stopped in to see Stephen Hooper of Autodesk to have a discussion about Fusion 360, and I managed to catch the the last few minutes of the Fusion Q&A session.
This afternoon, I'm off to; The Future of Inventor: Looking into the Interface and then this evening it's the blogger Social, so watch this space for more exciting news for the land of AU.
