Revit 2016 - Creating 3D Section Views

To create a 3D Section view in Revit 2016 has been greatly simplified. If you select the objects you wish to be in your 3D view and choose the new Selection Box tool.

The default 3D view is then changed to show your selection.

A good tip is to duplicate the view first so that you always have an overall 3D view.
