Whether you are a new user to one of the Autodesk Vault products or have recently upgraded to a newer version, one thing that often gets overlooked is the Home Screen. If you have ignored it and never taken a look at the resources on offer, I would definitely recommend you sit down with a cup of coffee and have a wonder through all that is listed!
Firstly, I must mention that access to the Home Screen differs from Vault Basic, Workgroup or Professional, but in any case just click on the very top of the navigation window. Both images (above and below) show access from Vault Pro:
The information and articles always include a `What’s New’, this year’s Vault Pro has quite a list:
- Completely revamped Copy Design
- Inventor AnyCAD support
- Item Lifecycle Enhancements
- Referencing for Inventor Drawing Underlays
… to name but a few!
For those experienced with editing html formats and wish to customize the home screen, then you can access the `index.html’ file in the following location (example from my Inventor Professional installation on my laptop):
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\ADMS Professional 2016\Server\Web\Services\VaultHTML
So as I said, if you have now had a wonder through what’s on offer via the Home Screen.
