Setting Navisworks Background Colour

The default background colour and style in Navisworks is solid black like this:

To change the background style, right click over the drawing area and select Background

N.B. you must right click over the blank background not over the model to display the above menu!

From Background Setting select either Graduated or Horizon. I’ve used Graduated in this example:

In some situations the background doesn’t change from Plain. This happens for a number of reasons but I’ve found the easiest way to solve the problem is go to the Autodesk Rendering panel and turn off the Sun button:
