MapThat – Wildcard Search

Question

How can you search using a wildcard in MapThat? 

Answer

It may look like when you type a search value that the results are being filtered to show only the records that start with that value, for example "electr" may appear as though you are only returning records that start with the letters "electr". 

However, MapThat will actually allow you to type the whole word you are trying to find, and then look anywhere in that field as a wildcard search. Thus returning all the records where the word "electr" is anywhere in the field, e.g.

• Electrical suppliers Ltd
• MapThat electronics company
• Rosie and Jim's electricians
