Civil 3D 2015 Geotechnical Module – Issues on Civil 3D 2015

I had a problem recently where I couldn’t import borehole data using the Geotechnical tools in Civil 3D 2015.When I attempted to import borehole data I had the message ‘Unable to Connect to Database’.

Answer:

It seems if you have Civil 3D 2015 installed as part of the Infrastructure Design Suite, one or more of the Map 3D service packs are causing problems. I uninstalled Map 3D Service Pack 1 and 2 and the problem went away.

I appreciate this is only a temporary fix so I will update my blog when I have a better solution.
