It may be freezing outside as we near Christmas but you can do your own freezing inside of AutoCAD Electrical!
As a default, when you add new components into a schematic, the new components will assume the next available component tag irrelevant upon where you place the component in the set of schematics. If the design has not yet gone to manufacture, then of course you can do a project wide retag of components of a renumber of wires.
However when you are ready to issue a project for manufacture, you may wish to fix component TAG’s, wire numbers and item numbers to avoid the possibility of items being changed inadvertently after build has started or indeed completed.
Simply select the Project ribbon tab > Project Tools panel > Utilities
Choose the appropriate radials for the items you wish to fix!
May I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and I hope that you enjoy reading my blogs.
