AutoCAD 2013 - Displaying the Attribute Dialogue Box

When inserting an AutoCAD block which contains attributes, by default the attribute prompts are shown in the command line. If the command line is placed at the bottom of the AutoCAD application window again in its default position, the attribute prompts can easily be overlooked, and the command may be accidently cancelled.

By typing inn “ATTDIA” and changing the value from “0” to “1”, (“0” being the default) the attributes are now displayed in a dialogue box instead of at the command line, making it very hard to overlook the attribute prompts.

Pressing the tab key will allow navigation from one attribute field to another.
