Since my last blog related to AutoCAD’s status line I thought I would share another method of controlling the display of this part of the user interface, the status line can be turn off completely, it’s actually controlled by a system variable, oddly enough call STATUSLINE (all one word).
If set to zero, the status line is not displayed, set to one the status line is displayed, set to two will display both status line and application bars.
There may be a valid reason why someone may wish to turn it off, i.e. screen size, but personally I would leave it turn on all the time giving quick access to command buttons.
