Revit 2015 - Double Click Options

When working in the model with loaded families I find myself sometimes clicking on the family and unintentional opening the family editor, this quickly becomes pain.

To change the setting for “Double click” selection navigate to the options in Revit and open the User-Interface area.

Select the Customise button next to “Double-click Options to open the Customise Double-click Settings

And in the Right column in the Edit family change to “Do nothing”

Changing the setting will stop you inadvertently opening the family edit.

When you need to open the family editor simply just select it and open it from the contextual panel as shown below.
