AutoCAD 2015: New 3D Orbit Behaviour

One of the new features in AutoCAD 2015 is in fact and old feature, but with its behaviour changed.

In the 3DORBIT command, AutoCAD 2015 defaults to orbiting around the centre of the objects visible in the drawing. This is with “Enable Orbit Auto Target” ticked.

However with this tuned off AutoCAD 2015 now has a new behaviour. The orbit target is now where you click, and if near an object, will snap to the nearest feature of that object.

This can also be controlled with the ORBITAUTOTARGET system variable.
