Revit 2014 Export 3D DGN

Recently I was asked how to produce 3D DGN files directly in Revit 2014. Initially I assumed this would be enabled as default, however after further investigation, editing of the Revit.ini file is required.

This is actually detailed within the Revit Help Files:

  

  

To enable this, the Revit.ini file is located in the following location:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Revit\<product name and release>

Use the following Autodesk guide to add the options to the file:

Export Settings in Revit.ini

You should now have something like below:

Setting this to 1 will then enable Revit to Output 3D DGN files.
