You might have noticed when designing horizontal and vertical alignments in Civil 3D 2015 that you sometimes see large orange warning symbols on your profile?
These symbols are to warn you that changes have been made to the horizontal portion of the alignment that might affect the profile elements marked with the symbols.
If you hover over the symbol you will see the message ‘A horizontal geometry change affected this element. Make sure this element is still valid’.
The symbols will persist even after vertical adjustments have been made so once you are happy with your vertical edits you can turn off the warning symbols in on the profile contextual menu as shown below:
