Revit 2015 - Hiding Lighting Holes in Ceiling Plans

The problem is when the lighting fixture cuts the ceiling grid it leaves a hole in the ceiling in all the ceiling plans within the model, even when the light fixtures are turned off in the Visibility Graphics or hidden in view.

Because the lighting fixture cuts the ceiling grid the best possible solution is to select the ceiling and use the linework tool; Ribbon > Modify|Ceilings > View > Linework then select the line style ‘Invisible lines’.

The only problem is that if you have a large number of lighting fixtures it could take a while to do them all. Then if you delete a light and replace it with a new one you will have to repeat the same process.
