Revit 2013 - Construct Crooked or Multi-segment Grid Lines

Whilst in Amsterdam last week, we were exposed to all of the new features in the various products that come with the Building Design Suite. One of the features that particularly stuck in the mind was the ability to construct crooked or multi segment grid lines. (Happens a lot with older buildings! and was a common question on why Revit didn’t have this feature).

.There is now a new multi-segment option which takes up into a sketch mode environment like a slab or beam system:

Clicking finish gives us a ‘crooked’ grid line, to which columns and other building structure elements can be attached.

Very nice, and dare I say about time!
