One of the questions that comes up quite a lot, certainly in smaller scale jobs is how to create a timber cladding finish for projects like barn conversions. The answer to this is a simple one, but takes a little thinking outside the box........MULLIONS!!!! WHAT, I hear you say?......MULLIONS?
By creating a curtain wall, placing curtain grids on the curtain wall and changing all glazed panels to empty, you simply create a mullion profile to suit your wood panel, give it a wood finish apply this to your curtain wall and hey presto you have a wood clad finish. Simply align the internal face to your masonry brick wall and your wall is complete. This is certainly one thing you find with Revit, everything is not necessarily staring you in the face, it sometimes takes a lot of thinking and a lot of working out.
