AutoCAD Civil 3D 2015 Start Up

After spending a few days in Copenhagen learning about the latest version, I started to get a bit annoyed that after launching the software it defaults straight to the Geolocation ribbon. Now I know this is a great new feature but after a while it gets on your nerves. Fortunately it is an easy fix to change the default:

• Simply invoke the CUI command
• Expand Civil Workspace
• Expand Ribbon
• Expand Tabs

• Select Geolocation
• On the right hand side drop down the Contextual Display Type and change to “Full without focus”

• Relaunch Civil 3D and it will default back to your home tab
