Plan Production in Civil 3D 2013

I have been playing around with Plan Production in Civil 3D 2013 and I came across a small issue in that when you try and edit the type of  viewport in the viewport properties, you find that it doesn’t keep the edit even if you edit then lock then save etc it just won’t do it, I am sure that Autodesk are on to it, but in the meantime if you change  the system variable PROPERTYPREVIEW to off then it saves and holds your edit so for the time being  you can use it as a work round.
