Inventor 2014 - Conceptual Design - Sketch Blocks, iLogic & Excel

Thanks to everyone who attended this morning’s Inventor Live webinar session (if you’re not aware, this is a free online session perk for Cadline customers). The topic was ‘The Benefits of iLogic in Inventor’ and we covered a whole host of iLogic examples including conceptual design, calculations, assembly design and drawing export.

I’ve recorded a quick 5 minute video showing one of the examples we covered – it’s a layout for a steering assembly created using sketch blocks. The video shows the assembly being modified using an iLogic form, and then a dynamic link to an Excel spreadsheet allowing further calculations to be performed dynamically. It’s a very powerful and effective way of producing and optimising any kind of layout involving movement.
