How can I show my assembly features in a part drawing view?
What if you have drilled some holes in your assembly model and you want these to be visible in part drawing views. The default behaviour of Inventor is of course to only propagate any created features downstream – so part features are visible in part drawings, and also any assembly that uses the part, but assembly features (such as a finish machining operation on a fully assembled engine block) are not visible in drawing views of the engine block .ipt file. There are occasions where you may want to bypass this normal workflow, and this is where weldments become very useful in Inventor. Check out the following video. Thanks to Curtis Waguespack for this handy tip!
