MS Word Report from Inventor 2014

This morning I ran across a new blog post by Jürgen Wagner, who writes a really good Inventor Blog, but in German, so I thought I would provide a translation of sorts, the original post can be found here: http://inventorfaq.blogspot.co.uk/2013/11/ilogic-regel-die-einen-report-zu-einem.html

The idea is to create a report from your Inventor file on running an iLogic rule. The result looks something like this.

All you need to do, is to copy the word document (this is the template we are going to use) to your PC, then specify the location in the code, by editing the folder section (as shown below)

One of the issues I ran across, was that the downloaded document is not editable by default. Open it, and Enable Editing to allow the code to work.

Notice that I have translated the document below into English.

Once you have specified the location of the word file, the code (when inserted into a part or assembly) should just work.

I have added a bonus few lines of code, which give us a dialogue box, asking if you would like to see the file.

Please see the iLogic code in the attached PDF, the word document is the Inventor report template
