Setting or Changing Ground Level in Revit 2015

A very common Revit question I am asked, is “how do I move the ground level of my project?”

Below is a quick guide to specifying your ground level, without physically moving the project and changing the views on sheets.

 

Manage tab> Project Location> Coordinates> Specify Coordinates at Point:

  

  

Select the ground level line and specify elevation:

  

 

  

Ground level still says 0.

   

Select the ground level line and change the type to Shared Datum:

 

 

  

 

Ground level now shows the Shared Datum levels:

    3rd graphic represents nothing in Revit that i've seen :(
