When loading Autodesk Vault 2012 with AutoCAD based applications, the Vault menu’s are sometimes not installed or loaded correctly.
The first thing to check is that you have installed the Vault Client software AFTER you have installed the CAD application. The Vault add-ins are only installed on those products already installed on your PC. If you have installed or repaired your CAD application, then go to the Control Panel and under Add/Remove Applications, run a change/repair on the Vault Client. You can ‘Add or Remove Features’ from there. The same also applies to the add-ins for Inventor and the Microsoft applications.
If this still doesn’t help with AutoCAD applications, then the following should work.
Type in MENULOAD at the AutoCAD Command Prompt, this will load the Load/Unload Customizations dialog.
Browse for the ‘VaAC.cuix’ file. Check the following locations on the PC: -
Windows XP - C:\Documents and Settings\<login>\Application Data\ Autodesk\AutoCAD 2012\R18.2\enu\Support\vaac.cuix
Windows 7 - C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\AutoCAD Mechanical 2012\R18.2\enu\Support\vaac.cuix
Once loaded, the Vault TAB should now appear on the AutoCAD Ribbon.
Happy Vaulting!
