AutoCAD Electrical - Link Components With Dashed Link Line Command

The  Link Components with Dashed Link Line command available on the Schematic ribbon tab > Insert Components panel allows you to connect an automatic dashed link line between two or more components irrespective of whether they are on the same horizontal or vertical displacement.

In the example below, a contact is associated with the switch:

Select  Link Components with Dashed Link Line command and then select the component you wish to link from and then all subsequent components you wish to link to

The cross reference information on the child is replaced by the link line

The link line is intelligent so if you Scoot the child the link lines will be redrawn. AutoCAD Electrical will also intelligently aid you with aligning your components on the same horizontal or vertical displacement when scooting.
