I’ve been doing a lot of work in Factory Design Suite recently, so expect a few posts on this behemoth over the next few weeks. And if you’ve never heard of Factory Design Suite – Autodesk are putting a LOT of resources into this ‘building block environment’ software, you should check it out. It’s not just for designing factories you know!
Some of our customers have been scratching their heads on how to manage their Factory Assets in Inventor. The default ‘User Asset’ library is positioned locally on your C drive, and refuses to budge. So if you want to share your User Factory Assets between Inventor users the solution is to create a new library in a shared location and always publish to that location (and copy over existing assets if necessary).
