Trim Command - AutoCAD

Question

When I use the Trim command I sometimes find that I didn't correctly identify all of the objects to use as "Cutting Edges" which means I have to either cancel or repeat the command...Is there a way to avoid this and give me a more flexible approach when trimming objects?

Answer

On the TRIM command, select the command first, and when prompted to select the cutting edges press ENTER or right-mouse-click. This invokes an Auto-Trim mode, whereby every object in the drawing becomes a cutting edge and you simply have to click on the part of an object that you wish to remove and it will be trimmed automatically to the nearest objects.
