Why are my points displayed at zero even though they are 3d points

Answer

Even though the points in your drawing are displayed at level zero all intelligence linked to the points reads the point level should you actually wish to plot all your points at their actual “z” location then just change the setting in point style to “use point level”, however it is regarded as best practice to use the setting flatten points to level this draws them at level zero along with your normal linework.
