Backward Compatibility - Revit

How do I open a file from newer version of Revit, in an older version? (Example a Revit 2015 file in Revit 2013?)

Answer

Revit is not backward compatible therefore there is not a straight forward way of doing this. The only way to bring over intelligent objects is using IFC but this may not bring over the whole drawing including detailed views.
