Question

When using the copy/monitor tool on grid lines for a new project some of the grid bubbles are showing up at the opposite end of the gridline to what it should be. How can we resolve this?

Answer

The location of a grid bubble is sometimes stored in a view, and not in a grid itself. The linked file is set to display by host view. If the default locations of the bubbles are overridden, then they are saved in a view specific setting, i.e. they are part of the view not of the Level. If the instance is set to display by linked view, the bubbles appear at the top. In a few words, if you want to display the bubbles in their original position, open the V//Gs in the host file -> Linked files -> and set the display by linked file
