Question
Slow performance with FBX files imported into Revit?
Answer
To fix this problem change the DontRepeatRefMsg and InvalidateTMOptimisation values in the CurrentDefualts.ini file: Open the CurrentDefaults.ini in Notepad, by default this file is located in C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Autodesk\3dsMaxDesign\2010 - 32bit\enu\defaults\CurrentDefaults.ini. Find the [performance] section in the file to locate the performance defaults. Find the lines below and change the values from 0 to 1. DontRepeatRefMag=1 InvalidateTMOptimization=1. Save the file, restart the application.
