Question
I have downloaded and installed a trial version of AutoCAD Plant 3D and have now bought a copy with a network license. Can I use this license with my trial version or do I need to reinstall?
Answer
The trial versions are full copies of the application with a temporary license period of 30 days. At the end of this period, you can simply activate the product as a standalone product with a valid activation code. However, if you have chosen the network license option you will need to reinstall the product, or attempt to change your registry settings to change the licence type.
Note that the Registry change is not officially supported by Autodesk, for further information, please see

ALWAYS back up your registry before making any changes to your registry, I you are unfamiliar with this environment, please enlist the help of your IT department or another competent person.
