Vault 2012 (VW, VC and VP) Automatic Numbering

When using an Automatic Numbering Scheme in Vault Workgroup or higher, the default is set to only use the numbering on the Inventor IPT and IAM.

To enable automatic numbering of Inventor drawing and presentation files, in Inventor when you have logged into Vault, select the OPTIONS. If you want the same file number for the drawing and presentation file as the part or assembly file, TICK the ‘Generate file numbers for drawing and presentation files’.
