Existing dimensions in drawing have not updated - AutoCAD

Question

I have modified my existing dimension styles so that they are now “Annotative”, whilst new dimensions using that style are now annotative, none of the existing dimensions in the drawing have updated, what can I do?

Answer

Cancel any active command, and enter ANNOUPDATE on the command line, follow the command instructions to select the objects to update and press ENTER, the objects update to match their new Annotative status
