Civil 3D – Area of a Surface

Question

How can I find out the area of a Civil 3D Surface?

Answer

1. Select the required surface
2. Select Surface Properties (from the ribbon, Prospector or right mouse button)
3. Select the Statistics tab
4. Open the ‘Extended’ group
5. The 2D and 3D surface area are displayed as shown.
