3ds Max 2012 and Backburner - 109 Adapter Error

Question

You are using Backburner when rendering and you are presented with the following error in both the Server console and the Queue Monitor:

“3dsmax adapter error: The pipe has been ended: 109 3dsmax adapter error”

Answer

This is caused by setting the Ribbon configuration to the vertical position.  You will need to switch back to horizontal to stop this error.
