If you are getting error messages similar to the one above when opening a file you can correct this by embedding the image instead of linking to it. When placing images in either a model file (as a decal) or a drawing file (such as in the title block of your drawing template) make sure to untick the ‘Link’ option as shown below. This will embed the image in the file so Inventor doesn’t have to search for it in future. If you are getting the ‘resolve link’ dialogue when creating a new drawing then you will need to open your drawing template directly, delete the images, and re-insert the images, making sure to untick the link box. Save the template file and the problem should be solved.
