Pipe Network Displaying Incorrectly - Civil 3D

Question

Even though I have created and applied a set of rules for a pipe network and have set the maximum cover to a desired depth, my network is still showing the pipes below the maximum cover stated in my rule set, why?

Answer

Maximum cover is a violation only rule which means that it won’t force your pipes to the specific cover, only provide you with a warning that the pipes have violated the maximum cover rule, you will achieve a better result if you start your pipe network at the upstream point.
