What are the blue and black dots displayed on linked structural columns?

Answer

The black or blue dots are used to represent the analytical model and can be toggled on and off. this can be done in visibility graphics, show all disciplines, expand columns, and clear analytical model. close the dialog box. these should now disappear from the model.
