Scaling issues with RPC and other 3D data transferred from Revit into 3ds MAX?

Answer

The issue is usually a units problem, Revit will export using the units setup in the file, however when it is imported into MAX you need to ensure that you are set to the same units as MAX will not automatically set them up for you (regardless of what you may have read!). This is the same with Civil3D and Inventor.
