Add new colour, pattern or texture to Inventor 2012

Easily add a new colour, pattern or texture style to your Inventor 2012 parts.

Thought I’d put a little video together showing how to add your own texture/colour to an Inventor model and save it to your style library. This is a pretty common question as a lot of users like to add their own personal/company touch to their models, and it’s very easy to do.
 

Note that you can achieve some fantastically lifelike models by using more detailed bitmaps, try purchasing high resolution images from shutterstock.com or istockphoto.com to really help sell your designs – this picture of an oak bed design below was taken straight in Inventor 2010, uses a 500x500 pixel oak texture and it looks brilliant!
