MapThat Mobile – Lock Orientation

The Cadline DynamicMaps team is pleased to announce that the latest version of MapThat Mobile now allows users to Lock the Orientation of the map to aid zooming and panning.

Zooming and panning within MapThat Mobile has now been enhanced by allowing the user to either lock or unlock the orientation of the map.

When you log into MapThat Mobile the Lock Orientation Padlock will be open by default.

If you pan or zoom using two fingers to pinch and drag the screen, it can be quite easy to rotate the map by mistake. This can result in the orientation of the map changing from north. Inversely, this can be a useful as it allows you to navigate the map in the direction you are travelling on the ground.

If you wish to stop the map auto rotating, then press the Padlock button to Lock the Orientation.

Now whenever you pinch to pan or zoom the map, the map will always point north, making it easier to pan and zoom while keeping the map orientated correctly.
