A Useful Addition to the “Quick Access Menu”.

An addition to the “Quick Access Menu” for AutoCAD 2018 is the option to have the “Layer” fly out function displayed in this menu.

To add the “Layer” option, select the down arrow at the far right of the “Quick Access Menu” as shown in Figure 1.

This will display the default list of tools that can be added to the Quick access menu command, from the List select “Layer” as shown in Figure 2.

The “layer” fly out has now been added to the “Quick Access Menu” as shown in Figure 3.

Once added the user can control the “Layer” display by “On /Off” and “Freeze / Thaw” and the “Layer” properties by “Lock / Unlock” and “Colour”.

This can also improve drawing production, since the user can now work with any ribbon tab and still have access to the drawing “Layers”.
