I recently had an issue where my Vault 2018 job processor stopped creating DWF and PDF files on a lifecyle change. The job queue had an Error "Unknown Error During Publish".
There are several fixes on the forums, all of which failed to fix my issue.
The fix turned out to be very simple. Vault uses Inventor to create the PDF and DWF files on the job processor machine. My issue was resolved by correctly setting the Inventor project file to the correct Vaulted Project file, and then activating that project file in Inventor.
To do this simply follow the steps laid out in the (SILENT) video below:
- Open Inventor (as Administrator - from right click menu).
- Close ALL open files.
- Set your project file to the correct Vaulted Project file.
- Open any file from the Vault (this is very important, as it activates the project file).
- Fire up Design Review (as Administrator - from right click menu)
- Fire up DWG TrueView (as Administrator - from right click menu)
- Fire up Vault (as Administrator - from right click menu)
- Fire up Vault Job Processor (as Administrator - from right click menu)
You should now be able to submit jobs to the job processor.
