AutoCAD Incorrectly Prints Inventor Drawings

You have noticed that exported drawings from Inventor are being incorrectly printed in AutoCAD.

The reason behind this issue is that Inventor exports the drawings as True Colors, while the .ctb plot styles on AutoCAD work with 256 Colors. Therefore when printing, AutoCAD .ctb styles cannot read the True Colors.pic2.png

There is a simple fix to get the drawings to print correctly. On Inventor, when saving the drawing as AutoCAD .dwg, click Options> Next> Mapping Options …> General> Tick “Use AutoCAD colors indices for entities and layers” > Ok > Finish
