In this month’s Tips and Tricks, we show how to correctly define the mating faces (iMates) of an electrical 3D Inventor part. This facilitates auto mounting of components to the DIN rail; components will automatically butt up to one another and components will auto place on the enclosure door if a door mounted part. If you would like a copy of the 3D DIN rail part and you are a Cadline customer, please get in touch with customer services.

I use this method for a couple of years. But to install the components right and left, I use composition of the three dependencies. This is done so that you can immediately place items next to each other, and not first install on a DIN rail, and then place them side by side. Such compositions can be used for placing the accessories in detail.
