Question:

How to analyse Autodesk install failure?

Answer:

Autodesk install failures can be analysed by referring to the install.log file – a link is provided on the install status page. The log file will identify the component that failed to install which in turn will prevent the overall installation from completing. The most common failure is on a Microsoft C++ component. The specific year version, e.g. C++ 2008 (x86), should be uninstalled from control panel before retrying the Autodesk installation. They can also be manually installed from the 3rdParty folder found in the Autodesk installation folder.
