We often get asked about having and using PDF’s in the Vault. Well there is great news, you can now use a tool called ‘PowerJobs’!
Vault can of course hold any filetype, so adding these is no problem. In addition, if you register the Adobe iFilters, PDF’s can also be effectively searched and it’s all very easy. But what if you want Vault to create the PDF files for you automatically?
Together with Vault Workgroup(WG), Vault Collaboration(VC) and Vault Professional(VP) there is a 3rd Party tool from Cool Orange called ‘Powerjobs’. This generates PDFs of your documents using the Vault Job Server. You can do this either individually, by a whole folder or even do it during a Vault Lifecycle change :-). This is easily customisable too!
